About Me

Hey! My name is Lexi and I'm from Ohio in the U.S. but I'm currently living in Heidelberg, Germany and I'm currently working with disabled people. I'm 20 years old but am often told I'm incredibly mature for my age and the majority of my friends are at least a few years older than me. I'm always looking for new places and new experiences and new things to learn. I hope to go to as many places as possible and meet as many people. I live without regrets and hatred and I love tattoos and piercings. I want nothing more than to reduce my carbon footprint, save animals, have fun and see every inch of the earth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm definitely looking forward to traveling in the new year more than I have in the time that I've been here and couch surfing seems like the best accommodation out there!

Interests

My interests would have to be traveling, reading, writing, running, boxing, cooking, helping people, and I'm pretty good with kids.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite bands would have to be Awolnation, Alligatoah, Trailerpark, Avicii, and to be completely honest there are so many others.

My favorite movies are Across the Universe, any classic disney movie, Some Like it Hot, and my favorite TV shows are American Horror Story, Friends, Family Guy, and the Big Bang Theory.

Finally, my favorite books would have to be the Harry Potter series, the Great Gatsby, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and 1000 Places to Go Before You Die.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This may not seem like a big deal to some people, but I think to myself the most amazing thing I've ever done was deciding to give up my grounded life and job and leave home and go to work in Italy. I left within three weeks of deciding to go abroad. I grew up in a grounded, religious family in a community where you go to school, then college, then graduate, work, get married, have kids, and retire, so for anyone to do this here is a pretty big deal.

Teach, Learn, Share

Id love to learn anything from all the people I meet and I love sharing stories with people and hearing them in return. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to share my story nor would I hesitate to hear someone share theirs. I also love to teach recipes and random little skills I've learned. I would also love to cook for my hosts. Cooking for people is something I love doing, so if you'd like that, just ask 😊

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to cook for my hosts and I wouldn't mind helping with dishes or another small cleaning tasks as well. I can also share stories, recipes, jokes, a drink (haha), and probably anything if they asked for it and I was aware of it!
