About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get to know as many cultures, languages, and interesting people as possible.

ABOUT ME

Despite being born and raised in Switzerland, I have Polish origins.
I am currently pursuing my Doctorate at a WHO Center for Traveler's health.
I guess I am falling a bit out of the frame when it comes to my character, I represent a mixture of various backgrounds and cultures and thus it's hard for people to really categorize me.
I think I am very easy to get along with and I have the talent to make even the shiest people talk.
A lot of my travel ideas developed due to the romanticized idea of adventurers exploring the world who were portrayed in many books I read during my childhood.

Things I want to do before thirty:

- Live isolated from other people in nature for a couple of months (maybe in Alaska?)
- Travel to the north / south pole by sailing boat
- Drive with a chopper through South America

"The only people for me are the mad ones, mad to live, the ones who are mad to live, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a common place thing but burn, burn, burn, like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes "Awww!"

PHILOSOPHY

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine glass in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO HOO what a ride!!!”

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If somebody is in need of a place to sleep, he / she is welcome to come to our place anytime. We know how it is to be stranded in a foreign city without a place to sleep. And we´re glad about any help we get when traveling - so this is our way of saying "thank you"

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The wonderful thing about Couchsurfing is that it connects people that think alike. People who travel, who are curious and want to discover the world, who want to know more - regardless of the age - whether Couchsurfers that were 18 years old or ones that were over 50, we had always an amazing time, one that we will never forget.

Interests

It is a pity the day only has 24 hours.
I like sitting down and reading something, playing piano, or binge-watching Netflix series telling myself that I'm being productive.
One of my big passions is sailing. It´s a unique feeling when you are on the sea and the wind is blowing in your face - there's no other setting that made me feel so free and careless.

And my biggest passion is probably traveling, what goes along with learning new languages. I strongly agree with "If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart."
