ABOUT ME
Hi everybody!
My name is Leyla, I'm 29 and I currently live in Uruguay. I'm an English, Latin, and German teacher at a high school in Montevideo. Hmm... I'm really bad at writing stuff about myself. It's like taking selfies, just can't do it. The best way to get to know me is to actually meet me. Just find out what kind of a person I am. I'm almost sure you won't regret it ^^

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now? Sharing my great wisdom with the cs community in my new home of Montevideo ;)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It's just the best! Sometimes you're stuck with some really creepy people but that's just bad luck. How can you actually experience a place without mixing up with the locals? You can't! But couchsurfing is a nice and easy way to do so. I should get commission for my lovely promotion.
Interests
travelling, gossipping about random people with my lovely mama, dancing, which basically includes partying too, preferably not alone but with my very best friends. Dancing I'm really addicted to. I think that's one of the few things I'm actually good at. That and teaching. I love kids that's why I've always wanted to become a teacher.
I love taking pictures and painting, too, although I'm really bad at it. It's just so relaxing sometimes.
What else... I enjoy cooking and making desserts but don't get too excited, I'm just an average cook.
I'm a chocolate addict. I'm actually trying to quit. Tough time.
Languages fascinate me. I'm learning Spanish at the moment. I think that you get the best cultural experience in a new country through their language, so try to learn as many languages as possible. English is not enough ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
Not sure. I enjoy all kinds of music and films. But for dancing I prefer hiphop or latino music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I saved a poor puppy from a burning building. HA! Just kidding. But I made you believe I did ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
As I've already mentioned I studied Latin and English to become a teacher. Unfortunately, there are not many people who are actually interested in Latin. Sure, it's a dead language but it's still fascinating. All European culture is based on Latin history and language. Why wouldn't you wanna know more about that, right? ;) But don't worry, it's not gonna be like Latin camp if we meet. It's just an option.
If you come visit me, I'm happy to show you around in Montevideo. It's definitely worth seeing it.
