ABOUT ME

We accidentally on purpose bought one way plane tickets out of Australia and are about to embark on an (another) around the world trip. We believe the only thing that can stop our adventure is our own imagination and also money, time, injury, death and worldwide airline insolvency.

We are relaxed and chilled out and love to meet new people and see new places. Happy to have a quiet beer or a party. Me and my girlfriend Liz aren't the cute and cuddly type couple that make you want to vomit, "No I love you more, no you hang up, no you gag me". We are keen for some cool experiences and need a place to crash on our next adventure...what say you?

PHILOSOPHY

Everything you buy in life should be compared to how many beers you could have gotten with said money. Also never eat anything bigger than your own head.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We often throw couches into the ocean, let homeless people into our housemates bedroom while they are out to dinner and during our last year overseas surfed a lot and the guilt was too much to bare so we began hosting. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfing Virgin '2011'

The amount of times I've woken up with someone stroking my hair I cannot count on two hands because they are usually bound behind my back as I attempt another miraculous escape from a couch surfers basement. It's easier clicking positive experience than reporting it.

We have surfed with some awesome people who I hope to see in Australia one day!

Scotish highlands, Back seat of compact car mid winter, Prague, Salzburg,

We've hosted a range of people from: Germany, Scotland, Hogwarts, Belgium, Starvinia, Canada, The dark side of the moon, America, Ireland, Sydney, Hobbiton.

We've also hosted a number of parasitic organisms: tape worms, tsetse flies, malaria etc.

Interests

Liz is a travelholic. Try not to bring up the words holiday, plane, world, country or continent. You will literally be on a plane flight to the place you mentioned with her. Her favorite trip and place would have to be the year she spent in the Czech Republic. I enjoy the Czech republic as I get to make many Czech related puns like just Czeching in to Prague airport (ha), or just Czeching out of Prague airport (ha), I mean it's the same one but I haven't thought of any others (let me know if you do). We have previously spent a year travelling around the world and loved every minute of it. Except sleeping in airports and taking 5am flights and having to put 8 layers of clothes on as we only have hand luggage that is well over 10Kg or not being able to afford 3 meals a day or washing our clothes in sinks or only showering weekly or walking tens of thousands of Km just to save a couple of bucks or crazy people waking you in the middle of the night in hostels screaming at nothing or getting diarrhea in the middle of nowhere and then having to ride a camel and then take a 12 hour bus or... hang on a minute travelling sucks!

If we had to choose one thing we couldn't live without it would be beeeer! People often call Liz the Lager lady, not yet but I have a good feeling about this nickname. We love relaxing and chatting over a good beer and love trying new beers, suggestion are welcomed along with free samples.

We love fooood. Liz likes to cook it and eat it while I like to eat it and then sleep. We love trying new foods especially local specialties. Even though this sometimes ends badly such as Liz's sun warmed raw pork in Ta Tong. She is so polite she took two bites smooshed it to the side and asked for more.

We also enjoy tv, stuff, movies, reading blah blah blah. One of my hobbies is making up fake interests and hobbies such as box kite flying, interpretive dance, seeing who can say I love you more times in 1 minute (so cute) and playing the oboe without pants on.

Music, Movies, and Books

We both love music, I attempt to play a variety of instruments poorly but my favorite is the guitar because it doesn't get angry at me when I break its g-strings and always makes loud noises when I pluck it. Liz is ironically tone deaf (that's a real thing apparently). She tells me not to speak to her in that tone. We are like 2 peas in an ipod (Making bad jokes is another interest of mine).

Books- Liz reads at a Level 7 Super Jedi extreme pace. She is actually able to put the letters together to form words. I assume like most girls she enjoys hardcore erotic thrillers. I know I do! I don't read these books good but me manage to finished quickly without opening the front cover.

Movies- I like anything funny. Laughter is the best medicine for non life threatening disorders, such as constipation but seems to aggravate diarrhea. All you hear from the audience is "this movie stinks, it's shit!". Liz likes movies that make you think. Thinking movies confuse me but I do enjoy constantly keeping up to date with what is happening in them by asking Liz who each character in the movie is and how they relate to the story line. The vein throbbing in her head lets me know she enjoys this too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

All jokes aside I literally once watched the sunset over the Sahara desert in a small hole I dug for the purposes of trying to control the overflow of excrement that was coming out of me like a fire hose due to eating some bad tagine WHILE about 30 other people were on top of the sand dunes taking photos. There photos turned out a bit shit.
