About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Its all bit of a blur still, just managing to keep enjoying everything as much as I can, trying to figure out what I'll be doing in the next 5 years or so... help is welcome! :)

ABOUT ME

The hardest part I think it's always to describe yourself, at least for me... I never stop to think about that that much, but I think I can say that I'm always a happy person, that tries to avoid discontentments, trying always to see the best side of things... Pretty much the Brazilian stereotype of always up no matter the situation... Outgoing, open-minded and a bit picky when it comes to food, but that's something I'm working on since I was a little boy! hahaha

Just a normal, Brazilian guy, that had an amazing time in Europe, and now is back in Brazil to make a life of its own!

PHILOSOPHY

Personal philosophy? enjoy life, cause its short and have no regrets... but trying to make the full of it consciously... theres no need to rush or do anything stupid!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I had only a few experiences! As soon as I got in Copenhagen for my exchange program, a friend was needing a place to crash, so I promptly offered her my house, even thou I didn't even had a couch to loan her, so we shared a bed! haha but nothin happened, just so you know ;)
The second one was with a couple, friends of mine from my Uni in CPH too. the same reason as my friend, they had to find a place for a couple of nights, so I told them: "where theres room for 1 theres room for 10" and they said yes, but this time no bed sharing, at least not for me! haha I must say that 20m is not big enough, but we manage to survive, it was very good!
And my third one and the reason why I joined couchsurfing was in Vienna! My friend and I were travelling around Europe and he was going to couchsurf in Vienna and I was going to a hostel, but when we met his host, she said that I should stay at her place as well! Leni was such an incredible person... showed us all around the city and made me feel like home... and talked, drank, had lots of fun... and then I decided that I wanna to try more of this experience... so I hope I get more histories like that in the future to share :D

Interests

It really ranges from bunches of things, but I do like to read, watch TV shows, go out and travelling. At this moment in my life, travelling and getting know all the different people and culture is a must for me. Whatever helps me to develop myself.
This point in my life, my first experience of living on my own has made me interested in all sorts of stuff that I could never thought of back home, like cooking. I'm really appreciating the art of making meals out of all types of ingredients and managing to survive on a budget.

Music, Movies, and Books

oh, so difficult... some people say that Im eclectic, others say that I simply lack in taste for music! But the thing is that I like to listen to everything that I enjoy the lyrics or the beat... it doesn't matter if its Justin Bieber or Tchaikovsky, if its Pop World Music or African Tribal Drums... I just love different rhythms and singing and dancing to them...
And I think thats pretty much sum up for movies and books as well. I dont have a particular type that I love, I just love what I like. Confusing, but yet the best way to say it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I believe that the most amazing things that I've seen happened during my trips.
The most amazing one was during a work I was doing with my uncle just before carnaval in Salvador. We were walking the streets of Pelourinho and some other places in Salvador, and when we got near the Mercado Modelo, we saw this group of street kids playing around in the harbor, with just a big smile in their faces, running around with a dog, jumping in the water... the pure happiness in a kids eye. It was just beautiful.
Another amazing moment it was during a round-trip in Europe I made with a friend. We went to Amsterdam, Prague, Vienna and Berlin... and during those travelings, I realized the power that man has. From the Prague Castle to the monuments in Berlin for the victims of the holocaust. The power to create amazing palaces and at the same time to destroy.
And one last moment was during my stay in Vienna, during that same trip... I was supposed to stay in a hostel and my friend with a couchsurfer, but then we met the couchsurfer and she was such an amazing person, and she invited me to also stay at her place! She was so welcoming and everything, showing us around the city! It always gets to me how there's so many amazing people around there in the world. And I must say that this last experience was one of the reasons for my to join the couchsurfing world.
