ABOUT ME

I grew up in Seattle, studied abroad in the south of Spain for a year in college, and then moved back over here (to Madrid this time) after graduating and receiving a grant to teach English. Been living here with my boyfriend for over a year now, while I figure out what I want to go to grad school for. We are both very friendly, down to earth, honest, kind-hearted, respectful, open-minded, fun, adventurous (blahdiblah) people with a zest for life and an unquenchable curiosity about the world :). We'd spend the entirety of our lives traveling if we could!

Interests

Well, TRAVELING. Laughing so hard it hurts. Meeting and getting to know people from different walks of life. Trying new foods/eating delicious things in general. Learning to cook the foods I love. Dancing, whether it's zumba, ballet, salsa, or just shakin it with my girlfriends. Music. Piano. Guitar. People-watching. Psychology. Soaking up the outdoors- beaches, mountains, you name it. Photography. Writing. Exploring new places and getting wonderfully lost. Learning languages. The warmth of sunshine on my face. Cozying up on a rainy day (gotta learn to enjoy them being from Seattle). Camping with s'mores. Tennis. Red wine. Hiking. Reading books I can't put down. Live concerts. Theatre. Volunteering. Doing my part to make this world a better place.

About Julian:
He's originally from Andalucia (Huelva). Some of the above applies to him as well... + most notably an insane obsession with kiteboarding! He's very athletic (was 5th place champion of Spain in the 800m in 2008), loves the outdoors. He has the most positive, optimistic outlook on life... always finds the good in every situation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being arms length away from lions while on safari in Africa was pretty awesome. So was randomly encountering dolphins and swimming after them in Hawaiian waters.
