Overview
About Me
I am a US-based mechanical engineer who likes to travel around the world and meet new people. Photography is a particularly important way for me to experience and document life. I mainly focus on landscapes and cityscapes nowadays, but I also enjoy some nature photography and portraiture.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Classic rock, folk, catchy tunes with synthesizers e.g. The Beatles, Jim Croce, Electric Light Orchestra.
Movies: Tarantino, Kubrick, Coppola, etc. e.g. Pulp Fiction, Dr. Strangelove, and Apocalypse Now.
Books: Mostly nonfiction and Sci-Fi like Arthur C. Clarke.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm currently taking a couple of years off to travel. It has allowed me to experience some amazing things along the way. From walking under massive waterfalls with double rainbows in Iceland to watching sunsets on mountains in Japan, travel never ceases to amaze me; there is always more to learn and experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Principles of photography and videography and basic physics.
Learn: I like to learn as much as I can about pretty much anything. While there are certain topics that I may not find particularly interesting, I try to keep an open mind. Travel, photography, technology, cooking, and social dynamics are some of my top interests.
Share: I like to share my experiences with the people I meet, and I also like to learn more about their experiences. I find that you learn quite a bit about a person while eating a meal together.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my experiences as an engineer, photographer, intercontinental traveler, American, and human with hosts.
I enjoy conversation on nearly any topic, and I particularly like talking about food. I can teach others about the local cuisine in the New Jersey / Southeastern Pennsylvania area of the US, and I enjoy learning about other cuisines.
Others have stated that I am a good teacher and a fairly versatile conversationalist, so I hope to apply those skills to the Couchsurfing experience.
