Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm very new to Couch Surfing... so I'll have to think about this question and get back to it...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm about to have my first one... so I'll let you know after that!! I do have friends who have been "surfing" for years... they share many great experiences... as I'm sure I will as well. I will say I love to travel and to meet people, and to share experiences, and I hope to do a great deal more -so I'm sure couch surfing will be perfect for me.

Interests

Travel of course... to places near and far. Swimming - anywhere, anytime, nature in general, hiking, canoeing, or anything that has to do with water... being in it, on it, or under it!! I work in the arts - mostly theatre and visual arts, and these are also huge interests of mine, as are films... spirituality, healing, social justice...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent months travelling in Africa... the entire adventure - including falling off a truck and breaking my arm in the middle of the Serengeti, which led me to being flown in a tiny plane at low altitude over the desert during migration - was life changing and breathtaking at every moment (even though I was in excruciating pain). And on the ground, to actually be among the animals in all of their splendorous amazing fascinating varieties has convinced me of the existence of some form of a greater being or power.
