ABOUT ME

Well, I grew up in the mountains here in Canada. Love hiking, skiing and camping. I played piano as a kid, but my teacher told me i was wasting my parents money so she quit! Haha, so I started playing guitar years later and I love it! I love people, I spent some years in Sweden meeting new people every day and I loved every second. Trying to finish a degree here in Canada, but I make it hard on myself 'cause I keep changing my mind as to what I want to study! I love everything! I'm trying BUSINESS(this changes every few months, hence the capitals, hehe) now, so we'll see how that goes! And, I just love travelling! I love it! Meeting new people, new cultures, it fascinates me! Understanding how other people think is so eye-opening! I think that people should get out more! Haha.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in an area that is extremely popular during the ski season, it seems that the whole world comes to this valley to ski the slopes! I just heard about couch surfing through a friend, and after hosting and surfing a couple times I love it! I've told everyone I know about the web-site. It's a great idea and I love the chance this community gives people to meet other people who are as interested in the world as they are!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Partying 'till 3 in the morning knowing I have an early train the next day, then having my hosts take me on a bike tour around Frankfurt for a few hours. It was insane but I loved it, I learned a ton, it was a perfect mix of fun and learning, haha. Really...good times...

Interests

I love music...love it! I would say my all time favorite band is Led Zeppelin. They are amazing! Iron Maiden is amazing as well, the rock ballad! Haha, every song tells a story you know? But more modern stuff, indie, acoustic mostly is what I'm starting to get in to.

I love reading as well. I've read books as long as I can remember. I recently decided to start writing a book. It takes time eh?! But I love it...there's something about being able to portray your thoughts and ideas to other people, to help others understand what you're thinking that is really powerful!

Music, Movies, and Books

I think I already covered this? hahaha... But specifically..some recent books I just read, The glass castle, A new earth, The road, Enders Game, The Science of Success...I think those are probably my favorite books I've read recently...but war and peace, pillars of the earth, war of the flowers...those were good. And what movies section would be complete without ZOOLANDER and BRAVEHEART. 2 classics...long live the scottish...and male models.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched my mom beat cancer...that was amazing to see...and walking outside of a small German town...in the middle of summer on a sunny day, with beautiful green rolling hills, forests and flowers, arm around a beautiful girl, coming up to the most amazing looking cross-timbered steeply roofed houses when suddenly the quiet afternoon air is so pleasantly broken by 2 old, bearded men in old traditional German clothes and stockings riding 2 old bikes down the path past us...singing German folk songs in the richest deep bass and pleasant tenor you can imagine...it was perfect...just absolutely perfect. I couldn't believe I saw something that...German. :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I love helping people figure out what they want in life. Does that sound corny? probably! Haha, bur really, I think struggling so hard in my own life to figure out what I want has made me realise the importance of having a definite aim! You can get anything you want in life, the hard part is figuring out what you really want!
