Hey please read the following to see if we match- I only answer to people who read my profile
My name is len. Can`t change the official name, please dont spell the a at the end.
So helloou on my profile..
I don’t do drugs, drinks or smokes, so if you come to Berlin for partying- we don’t match.
I am white- so I have many privileges that blind me from the realities that most of the people worldwide experience. I train and educate myself with books, the internet and some great people who do workshops to get aware off inhabited racism and be sensitive and respectful when interacting with others.
I welcome each and everyone to tell me when I behave in a way that makes them feel uncomfortable, I will be thankful and open to receive criticism :)
My biggest wish is to be a human that creates a space in which others feel warm, comfortable, seen and welcomed. I can only make it reality if others tell me when I fuck up. I am here to learn.
As an arborist i love to connect people with trees. I can tell you a lot about this big green air producing beings and the wonderful history of them in Berlin. You can also climb one with me if you are interested in that and we can chat while up in the crown.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
to get in touch with real people who live at the places I travel to. I don`t want to be with tourists while being one myself. I want to get to know culture and scenes. Also I love to connect with queers globally.
Interests
generaly speaking, i am interested in everything. I love discussions about gender, class and existence, into dreamy utopies where class is a faint memory of the past, free genders and universal healthcare and housing vibrates, Iately I am into sculptures and the beautiful sound of string instruments when played live, i´m a little philosopher since my twenties and if you enjoy diving into each others universe and sharing what we think without pressuring each other into some truths we might have found for ourselves , then I am the one for you ;-)
I really like the feeling of standing on the top of a mountain after hours of hard work for my legs and seeing all around me, being up there is gorgeous, great air, grat view, great feeling!
Similarily enjoyable is the moment you reach the end of a climbing route.
Love to climb trees and made it my profession. No worries I also love to chill out, do nothing all day long and enjoy that with all my heart. Meet me at an art gallery and we can discuss what an artist wanted to say by using that colour or using that material or so on.
I like to go out and meet people, have chats and I do love to dance.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music wise I enjoy Aretha Frankling, Melody Gardot, Billy Holliday, of course Nina Simone, Amadou and Miriam, Ingrid Caven. Indie classics from the 2000ends, Nirwana, Hole... the soundtrack of sense 8 was fantastic.
The 80ies Rock, 90ies. Patty Smith, the Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, Janis Joplin.. they just carry such a vibe.
Ibeyi dream with their sound and Saarab create underwater world sensations with their carpet of sound. Like Nils Frahm or Nicolas Jaar, also Timber Timbre just opens up other worlds to melt with. The music taste of DJ Millie Mckee is a blast. I really enjoy "Krafttier Schnecke" by AFAR.
Sense 8 is brilliant, very brutal but so beautifully deep and fullfilling. I love comics like Steven Universe, Midnight Ghospel and big mouth. Netflix got me with some comics, Sex Education, Heart Stopper and Sabrina.
I love movies with slow camera movement and long moments till the picture changes. Conversations are more important to me than the intensity of forced on emotions.
Books <3 yeeeeahi. Love reading.
All of Akwaeke Emezi's 7 books create vibration of delight, Becky Chambers enlightens me with those cute and uplifting space stories, the dark depths of Octavia E. Butler still creep through my mind. Bell hooks and Audre Lorde have such profound and sensitive analytics about society. Carmen Maria Machado still makes me question alot of my understanding of what a "healthy romance" is. Rupi Kaur is pure medicine for my heart and soul. Merlin Sheldrakes work about mushrooms just amazes me. Gabor Maté and Bessel van der Kolk did some brilliant work on bodies and their ability to store and release trauma. I just finished: Alok Vaid Menon: Beyond the gender binary, "Braiding sweetgrad" by Robin Wall Kimmerer and "Detransition baby" by Torrey Peters. Right now I have those ones open: "None of the above" by Travis Alabanza, "Support your sisters not your cisters" by Faulenza, "The myth of normal" by Gabor Maté.
The most fullfilling book of my last years were "You made a fool of death with your beauty" and the 4.th book of the Wayfarer Saga by Becky Chambers: "The galaxy and the ground within".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I visited Halong Bay, it was ice cold and raining the whole time, but it was the most amazing place i have ever seen. The grey-white cloudy sky just went into the ocean, there was no horizon visible just one big white-grey wall. And everywhere those green shells, or islandrocks. So beautiful... we went into a drak cave and watched the one ocean-heaven-thing and the rocks and they seemed to glow because it was so dark in the cave...that moment was full of the magic of nature (2012)
Having friendships that are growing and maturing over years and it all started in this one moment we met, that one shared moment together can be enough to spark a flame of friendship which can then last as long as we nurture it. How dope is that. Sometimes knowing and oftentimes remembering again and again that every person I meet is a possible new friend is one of my greatest experiences.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am happy to teach climbing technics for beginners for boulders, rocks and trees. If you are already an advanced climber I can`t teach you, but if you`d like I am happy to learn from you. Trees I am pro with and without rope. Nice fun is also dance-streching-climbing trees, I am happy to show what that is.
I can do yoga with you and give german lessons.
I want to learn more about the queer scene in the us and I am curious to meet, connect with and have walks, dances, climbs and food with queers. I live in Berlin and am surrounded by my cute folks which are of many identities.
I am happy to share my footmassage knowledge, as we could all touch our feet more. Most of us stand on them every day, that deserves some respect, care and relaxing touch.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am happy to share my hand- and footmassage knowledge, as we could all touch our feet more. Most of us stand on them every day, that deserves some respect, care and relaxing touch. Hands are tricky as they are the only body part that we can always only touch with one hand. So it always need two people and four hands to really relaxe one persons hands, I am happy to help you with that.
