I grew up in China but studied and worked in Singapore for most of my life.
I travelled quite a lot in the past few years for both business and holiday. So far, I have been to East Asia, South East Asia, South Asia, Middle East, Europe, North Africa, South Africa, and Oceania. I have been to the cities and some remote places.
I appreciate different culture and different philosophy and look forward to meet more travellers!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I quited my full time job earlier this year to travel to different parts of the world to experience different life and different culture. I am quite new to the couchsuring community and I hope I can meet a lot of interesting people and have a lot of interesting experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I was in Chinese Orchestra in school. I think traditional Chinese music is probably my favourite. I also like all kinds of classic music because they make me calm.
On the other hand, I also like heavy metal music from time to time, especailly with friends.
I also like vaporwave! I like all kinds of vaporwave art:D

Movie:
I have watched quite a lot of movies because my flatmate is a filemaker. I enjoy art films the most.
My favourite movie is Life is Beautiful.

Books:
I have read Harry Potter so many times!
I really enjoy all kind of reading, both fictions and non-fictions. Both classics and more modern books. Maybe my favourite is One Hundred Years of Solitude. I also love poetry, but usually a lot of beauty is lost in translation, I have only been able to read Chinese poetry so far.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think my work is quite amazing! We have been building electricity grid at places national grid cannot reach.
I started a charity project with my friends to build a tap water system so that village women don't have to walk to the mountain to get unsafe water from wells in Indonesia. It's quite successful that it's still in use after 5 year of no supervision, since most of these kind of charity projects get deserted if there is no outside intervention.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Chinese, or coding. I want to learn Spanish.
I am quite interested in everything, so sharing anything will be quite fun.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Interesting stories in my travelling and working.
Traditional Chinese philosophy.
And we can cook Chinese food together if hosts are interested:)
I am also good at repairing stuff, being an engineer. If hosts have faulty eletrical appliances, I can help to fix them!
