ABOUT ME

Hello, we are Aline Caldas and Talitha Speranza!

We come from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and in the year of 2013 we have decided to leave everything behind (boyfriends, jobs, familly) to live our dream: one sabatic year all over the world.

We are friendly, funny, beer lovers (well, actually wine lovers too...and vodka...oh wait, there is a big list there!), but more than anything we are lively people who love to make new friends and learn about people's current way of life, past and culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have been couchsurfing since the beggning of this year and so far it has been great!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As we live with our parents in our hometown, unfortunatelly it is not very easy to host people from couchsurfing.

But...fingers crossed that we will be more lucky finding hosts here =p

Interests

Aline: Playing guittar (learning!), surfing (learning!), travelling (ha!expert!) and reading.

Talitha: history, technology, science, religions... playing SOME musical instrument (haven't suceeded yet, but I love music SO MUCH!)... travelling (of course!), and well... researching all kinds of things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Aline (books): Love reading. When I was young I liked reading fiction books but nowadays I like reading most of the times about ideas.

Aline (music): Well, i´m very ecletic person, but I do love brazilian music (MPB, forró, samba, rock nacional...) and so it goes!

Talitha (books): The Unbearable Lightness of Being; Demian; The Mists of Avalon; A Short History of Time; The Universe, The Gods and Men; 1984; etc.

Talitha (music): Progressive Rock (most classical genres and subgenres, especially from the 70's, but also prog metal, neo-prog and avant-prog); Eletronic (breakbeat, psy-trance, hard-dance, hard-trance, ebm, trip-hop), stupid pop from the 90s (yeah! my childhood); British classic rock, MPB (Brasilian Popular Music)
