Hello! I'm Lia, and i'm from the United States. I'm currently living in Ukraine and i'm absolutely loving it. I grew up in the United States and have lived on both coasts. Ukraine is currently my 4th country that I have lived in, and everything about it is interesting and exciting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and experience cities and towns in a non-touristy way. I like hole in the wall restaurants, authentic food, and a good story.

Interests

One of the reasons I travel is to try local food and beer. I grew up in a very rural area, so naturally I like to be outside camping, hiking, and whatnot. I also love to play and watch sports... but not American football....it's just terrible.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lets see....I will listen to anything, but i'd rather do anything else in the world than listen to country music. I have been known to have my own personal concert for myself at home accompanied with some pretty awesome dance moves.
Movies are the best. I love pretty much all the genres. My favorite movie would probably have to be the Lord of the Rings.
I just recently finished a book about the Romanov dynasty called Secret Lives of the Tsars.... because nothing says "normal and likes to have a fun time" quite like that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was living in Prague, I got to spend a 3 day weekend canoeing through the Czech countryside. We canoed and drank all day, and then camped by the river at night. Hands down the coolest thing i've done.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think i'm a well rounded person who can have a conversation with anyone. Also, I can never stay at someones house and not buy them dinner.....so at lease you get a free dinner out of it?
