Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to travel affordably and in a way that enables me to meet lots of new people, experiencing both large cities and destinations that are off the beaten track. I'm interested in learning and practising new languages, seeing and experiencing new places and cultures, and making friends while I'm at it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, mostly indie pop/rock, and I also love reading - Margaret Atwood, J.D. Salinger and Kazuo Ishiguro are among my favourite writers.
I like lots of types of films, though cult films are often my favourite, like Lost in Translation, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me etc etc (but then again who doesn't love Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings?!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent two summers working with homeless children in New York.
