Hello! My name is Liam MacAidhne, I'm 22 and I'm from a seaside town just South of Dublin in Ireland. I just finished studying an English and Philosophy degree- so I'm taking some time out to figure out what I might want to do next year. I love music and play guitar and bass (not particularly well!), I love reading. I'm quite interested in fashion, art and skateboarding also- but I'm hoping to get into some adventure sports soon such as rock climbing or rowing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I came over to Copenhagen to visit a friend last week and Scandinavia is just amazing!! I really want to see more of it. People are lovely here and I'm fascinated by the subtle differences in culture and attitudes (People are very considerate here!!) I really want to go to Malmö because it has a unique skate culture, so I'm hoping to travel up through Helsingør and Helsingborg on my way there. I'm excited to meet some Danes from outside of Copenhagen and some Swedes and experience the good natured rivalry between the two for myself! Of course I'm excited to make friends from anywhere- I'm a very open person and I love getting to know people

Music, Movies, and Books

It's difficult to select favourites for me! For books I might say 'the trial' by Kafka for it's atmosphere. I'm trying to listen to more electronic music now (Aphex twin is the GOAT!) But the Cure might be my favourite band- disintegration is so nostalgic for me!! I'm no film buff but 'American Beauty' is incredible. 'Frances ha' also!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not sure how amazing things I've done have been haha but I love with my Grandad in Ireland which is something I'm kind of proud of.
I've surfed off the coast of Mayo in Western Ireland, with a view of the famous mountain 'Croagh Patrick!
