Overview
About Me
I’m an ambitious but genuine guy who is taking a year off to sail and explore the world. I take no better satisfaction than from a good conversation about anything with good people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am traveling the world for two years after a longer period of planning and realizing that nothing gives me more joy than the pursuit of knowledge and understanding.
Couch surfing is not necessary financially for my travel plans, but hosts offer their unique experiences that can not be bought or learned; I hope to build upon and challenge what I already know with this in mind, as well as my hobbies. I will probably ask to interview you for a film I’m producing too!

Music, Movies, and Books
Whilst I wouldn’t be unique in saying I have an eclectic taste in ...it would be the truth; one born from a genuine interest in all things the world has to offer.
Musically I like Deep House, Techno, Indie Pop and Alt Rock and cringe parent favorites...to name a few prominent genres.
A cinephile for sure,I will devour films and TV shows in spare time that is occurs less frequently than could be hoped for. I would love to discuss the ins and outs of your favorite picks of the chance arises.
I am currently reading ‘A Time of Gifts’ by Patrick Leigh Fermor. I have a tendency to read non-fiction but I have entered back into the world literature with John Steinbeck’s ‘Of Mice and Men.’Recommendations welcomes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve sailed from the US to Bermuda, been unable to fall asleep on deck because the stars were so beautifully vivid....same thing happened whilst watching phosphorescent plankton stream past portholes, which made it look like we’d activated the hyperdrive!
We all felt time slow down as a whale waved goodbye with a tail slap, after accompanying us for what felt like forever.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love the opportunity to learn more about photography and film making if that arose.
I’m working on developing my portraiture skills; so if you need a new headshot, I’m sure we could help each other!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’ve got 5000km of Sailing under my belt, I can teach anyone interested in the joys of being on the water; we can hire a small dinghy and it’s a lifetime of fun once you know what you’re doing :)
With a degree in Construction Management, coupled with a few years of running commercial apartment projects on the ground (and up 🤞🏻), I can offer help from just being a handyman through to design development if you are thinking of building or renovating; ask away!
