Overview
About Me
Born, raised, and live in a fairly small city just outside of Vancouver, British Columbia, that has really grown to be quite massive within my lifespan. Always knew I wanted to see London one day, and with that being a possibility, I took the chance to do it solo on a whim after quitting my three year job. I decided it wasn't worth it to only see London, so I expanded my trip into a month to see a good part of the rest of the UK + Ireland. Now I've got the travel bug.
I love meeting different people and experiencing new things and cultures. I also love all forms of media: photos, games, movies, music, you name it. I can have a pretty good conversation based on those things alone, but prefer hearing about other people most of the time. I generally default to being a listener, rather than a talker.
Travelling has given me the opportunity to grow as an individual, and partly see just how big the world is. I only hope to see more from here on out to continue that learning. I see it as a much better investment of time and money at this point compared to schooling or career finding. It's all about what makes you happy as an individual, not what ideas society tells you to conform to.
Supposed to be moving to New Zealand at some point in 2020 once things clear up.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to meet new people and hear their stories, no matter how mundane they may be. There's something special about conversing with people you would deem strangers. Everyone has their own story worth sharing.
Interests
Music is an important thing to me. I find it to be a great tool to invoke memories, and even remind you of home no matter where you are in the world. I think it can tell you a lot about a person depending on what they listen to as well.
Besides that, I am a bit of a film buff. I love watching movies and tv shows and talking about them with people. Always a great conversation piece.
Currently have the travel bug and want to see as much as I can. Pictures being a great way to jog memories of where I've been. Some of the best sights seem to be at the end of a good hike.

Teach, Learn, Share
I've always been a rather decent writer and have a good command of the English language. I always find it a lovely experience to speak to those who aren't yet fluent in English, and offer tips and such on how to improve.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm pretty versed with English, so if you happen to not speak it 100%, I'm always open to explaining different words and offering tips with the language.
Otherwise, I'm always open to hanging out and exchanging stories. I've met some interesting characters on the road and have stories that should be good for a laugh or too.
