About Me
CURRENT MISSION
The universe is much more grand than we can perceive with our eyes shut.
I create designs visualisation and graphic design for a manufacturer. Loving learning what I do and putting money away for more grand adventures.
ABOUT ME
As ever a work in progress. I try to do my best by people. I'm outgoing, friendly, tall, sometimes solitary, often social. I love adventures though sometimes need a kick to get me going - when I'm up, I keep going... with coffee breaks. On a big trek I'll be generally thoughtful, available, chatty, encouraging.
I like the comfort of good company, fires and a vino. I'll talk about most things and am able to easily say when I know nothing about something.
I've traveled a fair bit and know I've only seen a tiny fragment of this great big beautiful mess.
PHILOSOPHY
Life's beautiful. Tough as hell sometimes and moods change but we all chose to be here now. The more we remember where we come, the more life makes sense and the more magic is available to us.
I've always tried to feel neutral about things and bring peace, I've been finding recently that if I'm true to myself then that's the greatest source of harmony.... and stuff
That's my idealism, I'm also very practical, I love to find new uses for old things and see where things fit. I live here an now as often as I remember to and I thank things for being there when I need them and I apologise to things If I've done wrong by them.
I love this experience even with it's ups and downs. The world's a powerful place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I share a house with four others at the minute, I'm studying so funds are short and it's not cool to invite people I haven't met into the home of others so at the minute I'm more available for meeting than hosting but that could change.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None yet, well officially with CS. Though I've a lot of international friends and I've hosted them and been hosted by many friends. I've hosted friends from UK, Nl, Fin, Ger, Fr, Sp, most recently a good friend of mine from the US came back to Irl after studying here last year, I hosted her and her two friends and home for a few days we had a great time exploring Donegal's amazing coastline even though it was a little wintery in Jan ;)
Interests
Many. at the minute I'm rebuilding my bedroom using about 60% salvaged materials. I love Thai massage, I recently have completed a course in it and intend continue study in that and suitably relevant other holistic therapies as a continuous personal development. I've been modding a computer game I got hooked on recently. I've thankfully recovered access to my creativity gene which seemed to disappear for a while so I'm coming up with nice concepts for art/ furniture/ games atm. I'll get down to realising at least some of those.

Music, Movies, and Books
Hmmm... In no particular order and as the varied media come to mind:
Books: A song of Ice and Fire (that's Game of Thrones for those of you with an aversion to books). Malazan Books of the Fallen. Pratchett. Ericsson, Donaldson, Brooks. Bodicca by Manda Scott. 'How the Irish Saved Civilisation'... I'm Irish :). A book called 'Dublin' by Edward Rutherford. It's no shakespeare but it's a little local history written in a sort of autobiographal form of people living in Dublin at various periods for the last few thousand years - fun.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Raised €5,000 (well raised half and took a loan of for half) for charity and then Trekked three days in the Borneo rain-forest before climbing to the peak of Mt. Kinabalu. Stunning place, training, people and challenge.
I want to do the Rickshaw challenge in India in the next few years :)
