About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To have absolutely as much fun as I can and be as absolutely happy as possible!
ABOUT ME
How to describe myself here? I'll start with what I think is the most important - my overwhelming sense of happiness and cheerfulness and love that comes from my amazing life and incredible friendships. I'm an easy-going, caring, lovely and happy young guy who just wants to experience as much of life as I can.
I have a great number of interests including work and study, which I both consider to be hobbies because I enjoy them so much. Perhaps that's because I can't do anything without throwing myself into it at full pelt. I was always taught, 'If you do it, do it well' and that has developed into the mantra by which I set my goals and live my life.
Apart from school and work I am also an avid gamer. My boyfriend Simon - who is just the most magically beautiful boy I could ever hope to meet - is a hardcore gamer and we get along like a house on fire. If I had to choose between gaming and my music, though, gaming would lose every time. Music is so important to me, so intrinsically fulfilling and inspiring, that I couldn't bear to live without it. Music is like oxygen to me - even though I barely understand it and could hardly hold a tune to save my life, I breathe music and it sends shivers through my soul.
That's about it really. I'm just out there to have a good time, I guess. =D
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophies are simple enough. Just have fun in life and who gives a damn how anyone else lives their life. I'm a staunch capitalist, but I believe capitalism has to be balanced with local governance and self-sufficiency. I'm a firm advocate of action on climate change and of LGBT rights. I favour meritocracy and demarchy.
How do I live my life? DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm only a newcomer to CS, but having examined the model that it operates under, and having had that resonate with me (as it should with anyone who has read Daniel Suarez's Daemon and FreedomTM) I am eager to become very involved with the project. As soon as I have room for a surfer, consider yourself welcome. For the time being I'm hoping to experience a lot of different surfing environments on my upcoming trip to Europe.
Interests
I have a wide range of musical tastes, ranging from country to club to retro and back again. I also have a taste for hard science fiction, whether in book, film or video game form. I love my job as a librarian, too.
