Summer 2018 I hiked the John Muir Trail in the Sierra Nevada. I went 6 days eating less than 500 calories a day due to a stomach virus, backpacking 12 miles a day with 4k+ feet of elevation climb and decline per day. Got off the trail for a couple days and then finished it.
