About Me

Hello People!

My names is Liam, I'm 27 and have spent most of my adult life bouncing from one travel to another. I've had extended trips in Europe and Asia, I love to get involved in projects so have spent a lot of my time travelling staying with helpx and workaway hosts.

I have a degree in architecture and when I'm back in the UK work within various roles in the construction industry,

I will be beginning a new trip soon, my partner Ruth and I are first heading for 2 months in Nepal in which we plan to do the Annapurna circuit and some other trekking, we will be arriving in Kathmandu on the 18th of March. After this we will be flying back the UK and continuing the trip on bikes through Europe probably towards the Balkans, though the plan is very loose!

------------------OLD PROFILE BELOW-------------------
My name is Liam and I am currently travelling through Europe, starting in France and planning to head south into Spain, Portugal and then maybe onto Morocco. But who knows my plan is completely loose. I am using Helpx mainly but would love to use couch surfing to meet some people along the way because that is the joy of travelling for me!

A couple of videos I filmed and edited of my helpx's so far!

I'm trying to find new ways to occupy my life, helping people, meeting people and broadening my horizons. I would love to be involved in any project where I can stand back and feel proud in any small way to have been involved in it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have couch surfed a few times now and had some amazing experiences, even if I can't stay with people I'm always very excited to meet people on my journeys, that is the real point of travelling isn't it? Sharing experiences! I think for me the exciting thing about couchsurfing is the chance to meet local people and have a local experience.

For me the concept of Couchsurfing and Helpx and other similar communities like this are so fulfilling, instead of traveling hotel to hotel, and following a guide book we get to see a place from a locals perspective and make our journey and memories. In my mind the trip I am embarking on is one of personal growth and I'm excited to meet people who I can share it with.

Songkran in Chiang Mai, Thailand, the most wild and amazing thing ever, like nothing else in the world, full city water fight.

Living in a derelict building in Berlin for a month, helping to renovate and living in an exciting living breathing community.
