ABOUT ME
I am an outdoorsy and thoughtful college student attending Stanford University. I'm currently studying abroad in Paris pursuing my artistic dreams. I'm a generally laid back and intellectual person. I'm a romantic dreamer and try to keep a highly idealistic and optimistic view of the world. I'm easy to be around but always looking for adventure. I'm very passionate about what I love in life and always looking for something to get excited about and invested in. I'm a spontaneous person who likes to live for experiences. I have a huge willingness to take risks and make myself uncomfortable to have new, stimulating experiences and learn new things about other people and places. The ideas of intentionality and maintaining a beginners mind from zen philosophy is also important to me.

Interests
I love literature, art, and anything outside. I love to ski and hike. Being out in nature is very important to me, as is travelling and discovering new cultures. I'll recite you a Beat poem about living for NOW and then rave about soccer and food all in the same conversation. Basically I love everything that shows some kind of passion. I love doing things like backpacking in wilderness and writing because all of these things - active, artistic, and intellectual - make me feel connected to my surroundings. I am also very passionate about environmental protection and appreciation, in particular the development of sustainable agriculture. I am also very interested in zen philosophy and practice. I try to keep a regular meditation practice.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing my hero Paul McCartney live and singing Hey Jude with 80,000 people in Golden Gate Park of San Francisco is probably my happiest moment, although many wilderness sunrises are certainly up there. As was meeting another musical idol, Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes at a mountain zen center.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my poems and love of words. I promise to write a poem for each person and adventure I have while surfing! I am also a beginning banjo player I would love to share music by playing and singing songs! Let's play some tunes!I can share my knowledge of wilderness skills and environmental stewardship. I don't have many cooking skills but I will always put in time and effort to making a meal! Most importantly, I will always listen. I will provide a way to share and discuss profound passions and thoughts.
