About Me

Hello! I’m Liam an Irish Astrophysicist / Space Engineer who is just finishing up a joint masters in the Arctic & Toulouse. In my spare time I do a lot of media work for different NGOs. I love music, global affairs, and exploring new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whenever I’m travelling I love to meet up with people and experience the world from their lens. I think it’s a brilliant way to make new connections, meet locals, and discover more about the areas and communities you're visiting

Music, Movies, and Books

For music I love Indie Rock, Psych Rock, Funk and Jazz but I’m open to most genres! Right now I'm very into Andy Shauf, Tempesst, and Melt

Film wise, I do love a good weird film. Lobster is a great movie along with any of Charlie Kaufmans or David Lynch's films. Also adore a good documentary

With books I haven’t had a chance to get into anything in a while so definitely open to recommendations. The most recent ones I read was probably all the main religious texts. I don't subscribe to any given philosphy or religion but I think it's a cool lense into what people thought at the time so figured worth reading up on

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Little while ago I lived in the Wadi Rum desert helping local Beduin camps with their businesses and had a blast there, besides that I’ve also loved Mexico staying in the Lacandon Jungle, the open Tetituacan Desert, the Caribbean, volcanic lands etc.

Recently, I did an internship with the European Space Agency where I helped create astronaut trainings and worked closely creating media for all the new class of Ascans at the European Astronaut Centre

Teach, Learn, Share

Sharing stories and experiences is always great, in particular I’d love to learn about your local life/culture/philosophy etc.

I can teach you Irish, space stuff, adobe programs, or how to juggle
