About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Revolution (non-violent). I want all people to live sustainably and happily, so we need to fight exploitation of people & the environment and to overcome discrimination, racism etc. I will spread the idea of "international citizenship".

Also, I want to create a world-fusion band playing songs in different languages and styles. We'll earn money playing weddings and functions, we'll spread the revolution with our street performances, and eventually we'll travel the world with our music.

I'm planning to start by moving to London, where my brother is based (but I'm also considering Reading or Madrid).

ABOUT ME

I am friendly, well meaning and open to new things and different people. I believe in fair-trade and sustainable living (pretty much impossible to achieve when our modern way of life relies on oil). I believe we must all do our best to be good, kind and helpful, and respect the Earth and all it's creatures (cheesy but true).

I'm happiest when I'm performing or drawing/painting. you can hear my music and see my pictures here: worldwidewelshman.co.uk

I love music, especially world-folk-rock-ska-gypsy-balkan-latin-bollywood-arabic-fusion music (I'm passionate about what the record companies have lumped together as "world music"). I play keyboard, guitar, charango and other stringed instruments, and I enjoy songwriting and performing with my band. I like learning songs in different languages.

I really enjoy meeting people from different cultures and experiencing new things.

I studied architecture because it combines my interest in sustainability, science, the environment, society, culture and aesthetics with my skills in drawing, painting and designing. After my bachelors I did a 5 month internship in an architecture office in New Delhi, India. The course and the internship were very tough and overall did not make me happy, so I've decided to put architecture on hold for a while.

In 2015 I lived in La Paz, Bolivia for 10 weeks on the International Citizen Service scheme, volunteering with the charity International Service (Servicio Britanico). I taught children about healthy living and painted a mural.

When I'm at home in North Wales I work as a waiter in the local Chinese restaurant.

Practical information for potential hosts:

English is my first language, and I'm fluent in Welsh and learning Spanish.
I don't drink much and I've never taken drugs.
I love all food and luckily I have no allergies or medical conditions.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe we must all do our best to be good, kind and helpful. We must strive towards sustainable happiness for all.

As for couch-surfing, I've stayed over many time's on friend's sofas obviously, but I don't have any really couch-surfing experience.
