About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Graduate and see what happens!

ABOUT ME

Well, I'm 21 and an undergrad student at Trent University, im studying International Development Studies and Indigenous Studies as a joint major. I think, but am not sure yet, that I would like to do my masters and i guess we'll see what happens after that.
I have traveled a fair amount in my 21 years and have enjoyed all the places I have been! I feel traveling is one of my passions and would love to be able to do so as part of my job (when im done school that is - or maybe as part of my studies if I continue).
I like to meet new people, see new places and try new foods! I am vegetarian and have been for around 10 years, and was vegan for a few of those somewhere in the middle.
I am passionate about social issues both locally and on an international level, and would consider myself somewhat of an activist/academic type.
I would say I'm an easy going person, who enjoys good conversations, being outdoors, learning, experiencing, being lost, and having a good time over a few beers or a nice meal.
I am not sure where I want to end up in life really, but I think thats ok.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to couch surfing so don't really have much to say here. But I am looking forward to getting more involved in the community and meeting some new people!

Interests

The degree I am working on is a joint major in International Development and Indigenous Studies. I find both of these disciplines very interesting, but am finding myself leaning slightly more towards the Indigenous Studies side of my degree.
I also take Jiu Jitsu and Trent University and look forward to throwing people around for a few hours twice a week :)
I enjoy cooking and experimenting with different foods - I love trying new dishes, especially when in a different country.
I love to travel and meet new people and experience new places - I also like to be outdoors and go for walks, camp, swim, and all that stuff.
I also enjoy reading, music, and films/documentaries.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a lot of movies, I think my favorites are: "American History X", "Pulp Fiction", "Reservoir Dogs", "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels", "Rabbit Proof Fence" - I have recently been getting into more international films as well.
As for music, I like a wide variety...I'd say I like folk rock, blues, indie and jazz
