Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Currently studying and playing traditional and current Irish music and Chicago South-side Electric blues. I write songs and short stories in my spare time. I also teach performance.
ABOUT ME
I'm a non-smoker, interested in health foods, chi energy work, Ayurveda and the blood type diet.
I like to sing and play live acoustic and electric blues music - and at times try to make people laugh doing open mic stand-up comedy and impressions..
My current work-out is weight bench and heavy bag training.
I'm a bit liberal politically (voted for our current president, and will again) but I'm somewhat conservative in other areas.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that people should live and let live. I think each of us can make a big difference in the world by simply making someone else feel happy. When you encounter someone, you can either love them or judge them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have only just joined the CS project (2010) and have been hosted by three CS members so far; one in Missouri, one in Colorado and one in California. My participation so far has been only that of a couch guest.
As of 3/3/2012 I can offer a couch here in Boston. (4/2012 update: I've hosted 6 people in the last 7 weeks.)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My experiences so far have been very positive. It has been amazing to come into a complete stranger's home and feel welcomed, safe and relaxed after a long trip. All you want to do is unwind and talk about your travels, or maybe just lie down for awhile or eat or take a shower and feel at home. I've been able to do all of these things with my couch surf hosts so far, and it has enabled me to see most other people as generous, benevolent and trustworthy. Being a couch surf guest has restored my faith in human nature. We live in a world filled with decent people. (as of 3/2012 I've begun hosting, and all has gone well so far.)
Interests
I'm interested in the arts, and like to write songs, sing and play music. I like to walk, hike, read and journal, write stories and exercise. I'm interested in differing faith communities and their beliefs in God. I'm intrigued by Hinduism and yogic practices. I'm interested in people who live unconventional lives.
