About Me
We are Liam and Isabelle! A couple who loves to explore the world together!
Liam: Hey there! I'm Liam, a 30 year old, newbie traveler who is just starting to leave my Canadian comfort zone. I have a remote job as a data analyst with a company which is super flexible on my working hours and location. I’m excited with the prospect of being capable of working from abroad, and plan to spend some time exploring this in the coming weeks and months!
Isa: Hi! I’m Isabelle and I’m a language and literature student from Montreal! I decided to learn multiple language to have a career in tourism before the great plague! 😉 Isa: I’m presently working on my master’s degree and employed with an airline which gives me plenty of opportunity to travel but on a student budget.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Isa: I am a very nerdy and shy person who loves sightseeing and museums. I love learning about new cultures and I love history!
Liam: I joined Couchsurfing because of the amazingly rare non-transactional mentality. and love how it allows me to connect with people all around the world who share similar interests. I'm always on the lookout for new adventures and experiences, meet interesting people and explore new places from a local's perspective.

Music, Movies, and Books
Liam: I love thought provoking media, and well written drama, often with moral dilemmas. Star Trek (Next Generation, Voyager…) is a good example. Some of my favorite shows from more recent years: Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Severance, Halt and Catch Fire, Money Heist… My favorite music is EDM typically the more melodic sub-genres, but I also love classic rock. I have an interest in cycling and in sustainable transportation.
Isa: Fantasy and Sci-Fi are my favorites! Dune, LOTR, The Never-ending Story, Notre-Dame de Paris, Pride & Prejudice.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Isa: I went to Peru for 10 days in high school for a humanitarian trip and explored undiscovered Incan ruins.
Liam: I bicycled between Montreal and Ottawa with two strangers on a whim, while out of shape! We stayed in the Ottawa Jail Hostel (A hostel converted from an old jail). I converted an old bicycle into an electrically powered version, equipped with solar panels!
Teach, Learn, Share
Liam: I'm always happy to share knowledge about coding. Right now, like mostly everyone else, I'm passionate about the monumental changes, and paradigm shift we are in the middle of experiencing, and about to experience. Public access to benefit from advances in AI has never been higher.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Liam: My passions for education, mathematics, and technology/computer science. A passion for life-long learning and good, deep, conversations.
Isa: I love cooking and I like to think I’m a pretty decent cook 😊.
