Hi there! I'm writing on behalf of myself, my awesome 3 year old daughter Koko, and my husband Adam. My response rate is faster than the website says, I promise! We were CouchSurf hosts in Sedona, AZ for a long time and have now relocated to Upstate New York... namely, Ithaca! We are about to rent out a lovely home in the rural outskirts of the town and we are hoping to open our doors to travelers. We will be moving into the home (we will call it the LightHouse!) come June 1st.

We are musicians, earth-lovers, avid hikers, and very simple, loving people who would be honored to spend time with you and give you tips for your travels. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had some travel spurts in my life where I couldn't have traveled without the loving help of somebody's trusty couch.

In 2016 I had the honor of renting a beautiful home, which I was able to open to the travelling community, and I feel SO grateful to be a safe space for people travelling through this amazing land! Since then, I've probably hosted 100 or more people.

Interests

We are very down to earth folks and own more instruments than any other possessions we have. We love indigenous traditions and wellness. I have a knack for wild foraging, wildcrafting, making kombucha, bonebroth and mushrooms tinctures...and of course the never ending lesson of meditation and spiritual practice...hard to elaborate on that right now but please feel free to inquire :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love most things I've read, seen and heard. It's a wide, wide range that is hard to sum up on the internet... chances are we have a lot of mutual likes. I'm currently on a Tool kick and can't stop listening to them... we don't own a TV but will get down on Game of Thrones or American Gods.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just got back from Hawaii. And let me tell you, Hawaii is like 100000 times cooler than that or any other place or thing ever. I'm going to move there someday!

Other stuff: Ive Climbed the highest point/mountain in Sedona, AZ totally barefoot-- many of us here love to do barefoot hiking and I highly recommend you follow suit while you are here :)

And of course, gave birth to my beautiful baby in a bath tub on a small Arizona farm!!! I have a lot to share about mothering and childbirth if you are interested :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

We have been in and out of this area for a while- we finally are going to have a quiet, beautiful home of our own that is surrounded by nature and absolutely serene!
