Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've only couch surfed once so far in Bern, Switzerland, but a couple friends do regularly and I'm so excited to experience all that is couch surfing. My one experience was awesome and I totally recommend it! I'm so thankful that awesome people open their homes. That's the kind of world I want to be a part of!
My roommate and I are open to hosting travelers. We have a super comfy couch in a small two bedroom house. Within 10 minutes walking distance from the Marin Bus Station and only 5-7 minutes walking distance from downtown San Rafael. San Rafael is 15 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge and situated beautifully for access to wine country, San Francisco, lots of hiking and biking trails and great food options.
I have some cool secret spots in Marin that I would love to bring people to. My roommate and I work a lot so depending on when you're sharing our home, we will try our best to be present as much as possible.

Teach, Learn, Share
I love the CS philosophy. I agree that the best way to make change in our world is to build relationships and to cultivate empathy. "When we share our stories and our personal narratives we may not have the entire truth, but we each have our own distinct and real TRUTH." This is why it is so important to be open to getting to know others, to experiencing different ways of life and in walking in others' footsteps.
I will always be willing to share by own life experience, my faith and optimistic/hopeful outlook on life. I will sing you songs and discuss books and tell hilarious stories over dinner and drinks. I also will share my experiences in the service and social justice work that I have done in Uganda, El Salvador and Mexico. Solidarity is important to me.
