Overview
About Me
I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and moved to Toronto, Canada when I was six. I'm a musician, traveller, university grad and gardener/farmer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think couchsurfing is awesome! To me, traveling isn't satisfying unless you have gotten a taste of what it is like to live in a place, with people who actually live there.
Interests
Anti-oppression (anti-racism, sexism, heterosexism, cisexism, classism, etc.), queer culture, fun, friends and adventures. I feel like the boxes we put ourselves and others in should be shaken at least once a day!
I love music- I'm a music nerd, am a vocalist in a band and play some drums.
And travel! going to new places and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm obsessed with music- I mostly listen to punk music but I really love almost all types of music. Sleater-Kinney is possibly my favourite band, though. Some other bands or artists I love: Grass Widow, Dogjaw, Potty Mouth, Poison Girls, Beyonce, Grimes, Sleigh Bells, Robyn, SECT, MDC, Harum Scarum, the Dicks.
In terms of books, I've been really into radical/feminist science fiction for a while (Butler, Piercy, Leguin).
I love listening to This American Life, Serial and the Moth podcasts.
TV-wise: Broad City and Orange Is the New Black are completely amazing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Kabbalat Shabbat with village members in the small Palestinian village of Susiya, which is set to be completely demolished by the Israeli government. Crazy late night motorcycle rides through the no-rules traffic of Ramallah. Jumping in an unexpected Oasis in the Machtesh Ramon, Negev Desert.
