About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Absorbing Berlin's vibe in the next three weeks.

ABOUT ME

I was born in Patagonia, in a small town that nowadays has no cinema. Everytime I come back from a trip, specially to big cities, my friends ask me the same question: how was it? And I always say the same: the biggest impact to me was moving to Buenos Aires. Most world capitals have the same rhythm.

I always believe in people. When you don´t expect, you get surprised with a nice action of someone, most of the time, unknown to you at that time.

PHILOSOPHY

* Life´s too short.
* Tomorrow´s too late.
* A succesfull person is the one that having an opportunity, takes it.
* I can go everywhere, only if that direction is forward.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Trying to be a better host, everytime. Last month an international work meeting was held in BA. After that, foreign participants had a citytour, on Saturday. I decided to join them and try to help them out by sharing my knowledge and complementing them with tour-guide´s comments. Some of them didn´t have a camera, so I took them pictures and send them back. They were really happy to have a local colleague with them. I´ve received so many invitations to their countries, that I was shocked. For me was just spending one day these strangers, and for them was really important.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Back in Galapagos I met a Swiss guy, we were on the same boat for a week. After that we realized that we were on the same plane to BA! I hosted him a couple of days and took him to office´s after-six meetings, to my brother´s birthday party, etc.

On the other hand I met really interesting people on hostels while travelling and they had CS profiles, so now we keep in touch this way. For sure we are going to meet again and have a great time.

Once a French girl who was living nearby asked me to have some icecream with her. I picked her up and told her that a handcraft beer brewing company was not far away so we changed plans. The chat of that night enlightened me in some ways; and changed my life somehow. I don´t believe in huge steps, but, in small and steady steps.

Interests

So many that from time to time I decide to forget some of them. Anyway, some of them come back... I like to classify interests in mutually exclusive and non-mutually exclusive interest. I love travelling as a backpacker, but at the same time on daily basis during work-time I wear a tie, and I don´t mind about that. I´d like to RTW, but I´ve many thing to loose if I do that. So I travel everytime I can and try to keep my life at the same time, because I enjoy it.

I like making new friends from different countries. I love to read the news and directly ask to my friend on that country what is really happening there. Ah! I don´t trust either the governmnent or the media. That´s why I´m a proud user of Twitter (@wowczuk).

Last but not least, as everyone here, I love travelling.
