About Me
ABOUT ME
There's a line in the movie 'Before Sunset' about finding God in interaction with other people. Clearly, I'm bad at remembering moving lines... but that sentiment is still a foundation for why I love meeting and getting to know new people across all race and gender lines, disciplines, belief and political views. I am passionate about helping this world and believe we're better working on it together.
Previously my profile said here: "I've spent the last 2 1/2 years on the road, living and working across 5 continents, working in government, freelance, non profits and startups." Now I can add another 2 1/2 years of slowness, moving home, COVID, loss, grief and patience. I move at a different pace than when I first started travelling but at the same time... I did get back out. I'm living in Hawaii now and as its actually the first home I've had it only feels right to open it to couchsurfers.
If I stay with you, I'd love to spend time with you. cook. talk. go out dancing. explore. question things. share travel stories. take photos. do yoga. meditate. debate. read. write. walk. listen to music. listen to silence.
...So exciting to get to add this on now: If you stay with ME, I'd love to learn from you. I work from home but I'll make my car available and go on adventures where when I can. I am really trying to better my cooking skills and also grow my knowledge of the world so I'd love to learn about where you're from and how you grew up. I am a spiritual person and will love to reflect on how you're finding purpose and making meaning of your life, and how we can make a positive difference in our local and global community.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I grew up in New York City in a family of 12 kids so I'm used to sharing space, meals and late nights in the company of others.
That being said, when I first heard of couchsurfing I was freaked out. A couple weeks into travels, sick of hostels, I took a risk, hopped on the back of my couchsurfing hosts motorcycle fresh out of a Bangkok subway and never looked back (We're still good friends to this day.)
