About Me

I studied in Prague this spring semester 2017 and am taking some time off now to travel. At home, I go to school in Maine, USA (Maine summers are amazing-- definitely recommend). I played soccer for my college up until last year, which is when I picked up Ultimate Frisbee and never looked back.
I'm super passionate for helping others, meeting new people, and learning about other walks of life. Its all about good people and good vibes...optimism always!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently traveling around the world and staying with as many locals as possible to get a good feel for a new place. I have distant relatives, friends, and friends of friends I've been staying with as I move from place-to-place, but at times I don't know anyone somewhere--couch surfing is the perfect way for me to keep up my "only stay with locals" goal!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a bunch of random music: Weezer, Stevie Wonder, the Black Keys, the Killers, the Lumineers, Gentlemen Hall, Franz Ferdinand, Cake, Steve Miller Band, Beck...gotta love the Beach Boys and 80s jams

I'm all over the place with movies too: Goodfellas, Catch Me If You Can, Pulp Fiction, Memento, Kick-Ass...plus I'm a sucker for classic rom coms

Last few books I've read include Blink (Gladwell), The Cost of Cutting, (Ruggieri) and Gone Girl (Flynn)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last summer I started a program of Sociol and Emotional Learning at a non-profit summer camp for underserved children in the Boston area. I implemented it myself and am expanding it this summer so that I can teach more children how to consider their actions/emotions, and make changes to decisions they make and thoughts they have in everyday life. The children learn and grow so quickly!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Great conversation/perspective, optimism, and my urge to learn/explore!
Also, meditation is HUGE for me if it is of interest for anyone.
