About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to experience as many cultures and spririts and places as I can before my time is up!
ABOUT ME
I am a full time airline pilot and part time CFII/MEI pilot teaching other people how to fly. I'm a free spirit, a girly-girl but a tomboy, I have been paleo for a couple years now, I'm a book worm and a nerd at heart. I am a gypsy soul and love to meet new people, experience new cultures, and travel far away places. I just moved to Redondo Beach, CA from Phoenix. I can be a loner most of the time but I'm also a very social person. I also love to try new beers, wines, whiskeys, and cigars. Cheers!
PHILOSOPHY
Life is what you make it. Always has been; always will be. | The person with big dreams is more powerful than one with all the facts. | I believe you should grow through life - not just go through life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I currently live with a roommate who is not totally comfortable with having couch surfers. But once I have a place of my own with a couch, it will be open for surfing! Currently I'm still surfing and adventuring around, myself.
Interests
Computers, flying, hiking, shopping, reading, traveling, fishing, dreaming, snowboarding, decorating, camping, motorcycles, and working out.
Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite author is Jimmy Buffett!! The flying, the beaches, the adventures. He's a great writer. I love all types of music - mainly deep southern rock, country, classic rock, reggae, instrumental, classical. I'm not much of a movie watcher - forgive me. I'd rather be outside hiking or flying or pulling on a stogie. :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Up until about 3 years ago, I would say all the usual things: graduate college, get a good job, start a company, motorcycle license - I'm very proud of those things but August 2014 I decided to take a leap and quit my job, sell all my belongings, and move back home to go to school full time to be a pilot. This, I would have to say is my most amazing thing. The first time I took off in a plane by myself to complete a solo flight - it was breathtaking and exhilarating, and scary, and relieving, all at once.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to teach some surfers to fly planes. It's fairly cheap to rent them and I have my instructor certificate. There's nothing else like being in the sky, away from it all - and the VIEW!! I've also been on a conscious journey the last few years to make myself better and really listen to my soul and follow my dreams. I've found lately that I seem to be helpful to friends in this way, as well. I would love to learn more yoga - and more about how other people find the world to be a beautiful place.
