Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I learn best by participating in an activity or skill with someone, or a group of people, who have knowledge in the area. I am open and ready to learn about the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Im completely new to couchsurfing other than listening to amazing stories of friends who have both hosted and surfed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my current skills acquisition mission, i recently learned how to brain-tan buckskin. I worked as a large game skinner in Montana, skinning the deer, elk and antelope that hunters killed before they were passed on to a butcher. I wanted to know and appreciate the art of making leather and how best to use the entirety of an animal that is killed for food. I learned this and so much more and am forever grateful to my teachers Katie, Tom and Kris.
