Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Building political tech projects and chasing brass beats
ABOUT ME
I basically live within two communities here in New York. The first is the community of folks doing tech work (website/database/information management/random) for non profit organizations and political events. The second community is filled with folks who play in funky/gypsy brass bands or string bands and like to move around and act silly.
PHILOSOPHY
I generally like people and like hearing them talk. I like it even more when talking leads to doing something neat.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just put my listing up. My old housemate and still close friend used to put up people from this site in our shared house quite regularly. I hope to continue that beginning this spring when this round of travels are over.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I learned how to couchsurf from my younger days as a way to be able to move to San Francisco, and then stay there for a year and half. I did one 2 month tour in Ann Arbor, and one 3 month tour in San Francisco. I learned how to give people space, how to limit my impact, and how to give back to the many couches that hosted me. I did my best to make life easier for those that put me up, rather than the opposite.
