About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make a trip overseas while I can afford it

ABOUT ME

I'm very laid back, easy going and willing to learn through experience.
I like walking around cities to just take everything in, bike riding, reading and being relaxed.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't dwell on it, just get on with it, there's always fun to be had.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have an immense appreciation for the couchsurfing program. That people can come together from different sides of the world and share their experiences, ideas and lives really makes me happy. Couchsurfing is by far the best way to travel as it takes you off the well worn tourist paths and throws you into the daily lives of the people who know and actively live within your chosen destination!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed around Germany for 5 weeks in 2008. It was my first experience with the couchsurfing and I had a really wonderful time meeting new people and making some great friends.

Interests

I love listening music and going to gigs, (even though it hasn't happened in a while), good literature, bar hopping, history, languages and interesting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: a wide variety, but certainly not everything.
Some favourite bands are The Brian Jonestown Massacre, B.R.M.C, The Dandy Warhols, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, RHCP, Pearl Jam, Pavement, Jane's Addiction, Sonic Youth, Spiderbait...the list goes on.

Books: I just finished a subject for Uni on Gothic Fiction, so at the moment I'm still reading in that field: Frankenstein, Dracula etc. I'd really like to read R.D Laing's biography soon too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled across Western Europe and some of the East for 5 months, after I finished high school in 2006. It was tiring, but one of the best times I've had. I also spent a month travelling around Germany on my own in 2008 and spent 2 weeks in Cambodia in February 2009.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hopefully I give you a different perspective on your life or the world at large. I'm ready to learn anything, especially if it improves my German!

Countries I’ve Visited
