I'm a 22 year old girl from Groningen, the Netherlands. Last summer I graduated as a Social Worker and I´m currently enjoying the joys and freedom of a Gap Year. At the moment I´m a nanny in the UK (Somerset) and after this I'll go on my next adventure in India.

I love a lot of things, but mainly I like to be creative, to sew, to play games, to read, to walk, to enjoy nature and to meet up with friends. Also I like movies, doing sports and doing (acro)yoga and meditation. I'm a catperson and I'm also really allergic to them, but I'll just sneeze through that!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because like almost everyone on CS, I love to meet new people and make new friends. It is great to meet people from different countries and to exchange greats stories and different views on things. I think I can learn a lot from hearing about someones culture and experiences in life, and vice versa.

Music, Movies, and Books

Everything that has a guitar and a comforting voice is my kind of music! For example: Norah Jones, Passenger, Gregory Alan Isakov, Joshua Radin and Daniel Docherty. Also Miike Snow, Imagine Dragons, Deep House and Techno :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've lived in Finland for a few months during my studies and it was awesome! I've been backpacking in Thailand, Myanmar and India for a bit and I've recently learned to catch my first waves on a surfboard. I've also had my fair share of camping, hiking, climbing and other outdoor adventures! Something amazing I'm doing right now is caring for a lovely little girl as her nanny.

Teach, Learn, Share

I gratuated as a social worker, so there's my expertise. I can talk as me and I can talk with my social work skills, but sometimes they overlap. Also climbing and outdoor-related stuff (hiking, kayaking). And acroyoga is something I like to do and can share, teach and learn! I'd also love to learn any creative skill there is, since I love to be creative. I can teach you a little something about sewing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to cook a nice vegan dinner for you and basically try to be very good company. I can also help you out with fixing some broken clothes if you have a needle and a thread if there's time as your guest :)
