About Me

CURRENT MISSION
- TRAVELLING !!!

understanding life from different perspectives. places. people.

ABOUT ME

[ Todavía estoy demasiado perezosa de traduccir todo mi perfil a español porque tiene un monton de informaciones. .... Disculpe. ;-)) ]

what to say in a few sentences:

loving and crazy about music, good conversations with friends, but also people I don't know, people and different life styles & stories in general, learning in all directions and parts of life.

-> update: TRAVELLING since december 2013: India, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Singapur, 11 day stop in Germany for christmas, Jamaica, Cuba, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Belize -- 3 months stop in Germany and since september 2015 back on the road, US, El Salvador, Guatemala y Honduras otra vez, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, US - 2 months stop in Germany - Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, travelling three weeks with my mother and her girlfriend in India, Thailand again and now back in US for another roadtrip!

Furthermore, I am full of ideas everyday. ;)

I like

| to walk slowly
| to eat a lot (!) of nice unknown food
| to write - poems, songs, essays, bullshit
| to paint like a child because I don't know it much better
| languages and mathematics
| strange transport like busses with music, vendors and loud horn,
hitchhiking, little busses with hippies as long as they shower
| contradictoriness - big cities, but also small villages --> balance!
| to see how things work
| jamsessions which are not too professional, so that I can join in with my
ukulele, learning new instruments

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Talking, laughing, cooking, Ukukele/Violin/Piano playing.
I might sing, too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Seeing and taking part in the daily life of some wonderful people.

Interests

music and soundsystems, in the moment especially dub, steppas, drum n bass, ragga, rub a dub, rockers, but also hip hop and since Jamaica dancehall again, too haha, languages, psychology, (different) daily life in different countries.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music with with heart and soul, I guess.

Maybe strange, but normally I don't watch movies and consequently I don't know many, even some classics, sorry, I do not really give a shit.

Books like "Die alte Dame" (The old lady)/ "Die Physiker" of Dürrenmatt
The little prince/ El principito

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Hitchhiking in different countries with different transport and interesting experiences. Going with crazy vehicles, especially in Cuba, India and Bangladesh.
- Being in Holi festival, the colour festival in India, at 6:30 at a temple and getting flooded by colours and invited to lots of bhang lassi and chai, getting on local television and newspaper that day haha.
- Spending almost one month in Kingston, Jamaica. Dancehall parties, dub meetings, festivals and culture. Joining a small, but lovely soundsystem festival on the beach in Guerrero, Mexico.
- Travelling alone in Bangladesh and having very interesting discussions about western culture and the role of women. Hiking with my friend in the border area to Myanmar and seeing green, untouched nature.
- Staying with my, now 2nd family, which I got introduced by a new friend working on the market on Masaya, in a little village near Masatepe, Nicaragua on the very landsside. Seing and living everyday life together with lots of beautiful children. Laughing about the simple things in life and talking about sorrows in an environment where there is only water 2 times every week and work very hard to find.

Understanding, that everything is just now and nowadays very near. Only because you are travelling/at home does not mean that you are far away from everything.

Learning that your surroundings are just a mirror of yourself and your attitude. That you can choose if you are happynor not, I guess.

Teach, Learn, Share

| definitely playing table-tennis like a champion
| quite a few instruments, but come on - not too professional
| opening a beer bottle with an old nokia cell phone
or other strange objects
| making real Indian masala chai
| rolling cigarettes in the size you wish

What I Can Share with Hosts

Sharing thoughts, words, (travel) stories, time - food?

I like to cook, but usually do not eat meat, but I don't hate people who do. ;-)

If there is time, I am always up for a party, but also for a relaxed day in the park/beach or anything else which is fun. I have time. ;-) I am very flexible and independent by travelling long time solo - I would say I am quite cool and used to different habits of people.
