Overview
About Me
I'm a 19-year-old, Project Trust volunteer from the majestic concrete city of Birmingham, United Kingdom 🇬🇧. Besides from being a volunteer teacher in Lake Toya, Japan 🇯🇵.
I'm an avid writer, maniacal perfectionist, half decent web designer and a politics fanatic. With a side of being a melancholic music listener.
I'll be taking on a Politics and English Language degree at Aston University after my year in Japan.
I'll be returning to Birmingham on the 20th August.
Please teach me!
Yoroshiku Onegai Shimasu!
My favourite Japanese saying:
笑う門には 福来たる!
Warau kado ni wa fuku kitaru!
Laugh and grow fat!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet interesting people! Step out my comfort zone and explore the vast world not in front of a tourist map but with the guidance of locals and actual people!
August 2017
From 5th - 15th August, myself and another surfer will be embarking on an adventure across Japan! After living in Lake Toya Town, Hokkaido for a year, I want to see the vast prefecture and see what it has to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books
Indie Rock ... I'm very open to all music.
Nothing more satisfying than a good movie.
Nothing more intriguing than a imaginative book.
I'm into a variety of films! With my favourite but not exclusive to - 'the true romantic genre' films that aren't filled with cliches or Hollywood expositions... maybe I'm hipster?
Coldplay, Her, The Windup Cuckoo bird
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I ran the Toyako marathon 2017, complete it however, is another question.

Volunteering in Japan has been the most amazing thing I've done , a paragraph about my time here won't be enough.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can speak fluent English and can get by on Vietnamese. I'm also learning Japanese! And would be open to try different languages!
I'm a Volunteer English Teacher! I'm more than happy to teach beginner to advanced English lessons for free (of course) !
What I Can Share with Hosts
Photos and stories about my year out in Lake Toya! Creative stories that I've written, discussion in world politics and the optimistic future!
