About Me
🙏Currently looking for pescaterian recipes
Tell me one fun fact about you or your country, and I will tell you one of mine :)
Always happy to share stories that will either amuse you or give you secondhand stress 😂

PHILOSOPHY: Individually, humans are kind, but the bystander effect will probably kill us all :)
....HOWEVER, your actions do have consequences, so keep on being you and change the world one small sphere of influence at a time ✨
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's the best way to connect with people I never would normally meet :)
Interests
Basically, I have more things I would like to do/learn than I have time on my hand. I enjoy discussing philosophy, life, psychology or anything that you are willing to tell me about. I enjoy knitting, playing the piano, walking around town, having the most random thoughts and learning more about life and myself. I absolutely adore photography (and shiny things) so you can usually catch me staring lovingly at a particularly pretty pair of earrings. Travelling is honestly my favorite thing to do because it allows me to meet so many new people and have many new experiences (and the food!!)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Taylor Swift (sorry not sorry), Imagine Dragons, OneRepublic, Calum Scott, Tom Walker, Ina Wroldsen, Aitana, Namika, Sara'h (her covers helped me a lot to learn French), Mark Foster, grandson, Melinda KB, Dua Lipa, etc. (Basically anything that I can either dance to or cry to)
Books: Leigh Bardugo and Frederik Backman are my auto-buy authors. The Giver series, In shadow of the Banyan, the book thief, sherlock holmes, the kite runner, artemis fowl (the BOOK only), Le Petit Prince, etc. Also love autobiographies of interesting people
Movies: Uhhhhh horror movies if it's with a friend (Dead silence gave me nightmares for weeks). Anything by Hayao Miyazaki (Studio Glibli) Black mirror, Wednesday, Cruella the movie, Promising Young Woman, Just Mercy.(I don't really know a lot of movies but if it's something you like I'll give it a try)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Took off on a gap year on my own with extremely little planned
Went to Egypt because why not
The northern lights, they weren't super bright but it made me feel like a child again
Landscapes from the airplane
Somehow managed to cram a ton of work into 15 hours of wake time a day (that ofc led to burn out 😅)
Lived on 3 different continents by 19
Argued with border guards in Mauritania in French
Went to West Africa alone (but met others along the way)
Hitchhiked across Western Sahara for 1690 km in 4 days (Essaouira ➡️ Nouâdhibou)
Hiked up he highest mountain in Slovenia with a 8kg backpack, over 3000m elevation gain and descended down steel cables in rain (maybe this is more of a near-death experience 😅)
50 countries by 20!!
Went to Russia with almost no knowledge of Russian
Survive :)
Teach, Learn, Share
TEACH - I can show you the basics of Vietnamese, help with your English, take some photos but my main strong point is being able to listen and engage in pretty much any topic in conversation.
LEARN - Please tell me how to keep my plants alive, or any other interesting niche you are willing to share :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook pretty well, if I don't know something that you would like I'm good at following recipes. I can do photography or anything that requires color coordination, basic crafts, cleaning, and practicing English.
Also, of course, share my travel stories and photos :)
I am always down to talk about life and rant about the system.
Jeff Bezos is an asshole and I'm not sorry if that offends you.
Oh wait, let's extend that statement to all the people who got richer by exploiting others :)
