About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I've been living in different parts of the world and currently returned to my homebase in Belgium. Planning to set up a pied-a-terre here, so i can start venturing out again into the world.

ABOUT ME

I wrote a book called 'Get Real, a practical guide on how to live it up!' and living it up has been my way of life all through my 30's, and who knows what's still to come.

PHILOSOPHY

Take your life in your own hands and live it like you want it, with respect for the people and the world around you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience with couchsurfing was in Singapore, which turned out to be a great introduction to this way of traveling. We went cycling and my host took me to some great street food eateries which only got me more excited about Asian street food! I've also been coachsurfing whilst on a 5 months trip in South-America, which resulted in an amazing friendship which still lasts until today.

Interests

I'm Belgian, so eating and drinking is high on my to do list when exploring local cultures. I like chillin in the park and being outside. I love being active when on holiday, so always up for a good surf (small waves please) and an intens yoga session, preferably in that sequence :-)

Love meeting new people with a passion in life to hear their stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Lots of singer songwriters (like Ben Howard), Frank Ocean, Jessie Ware and if I'm in the mood for more noise I'll choose Muse or Triggerfinger.
Books: for the last 5 years I've mainly been reading non-fiction books related to lifestyle, business and relationships.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Victoria waterfalls in Zimbabwe, many many years ago.
The birth of my Godson.
Manta ray diving around Komodo in Indonesia and shark diving in Galapagos.
Taste and retaste amazing SE Asian cuisines.
Building my own business.
Surfing in Lombok, Bali, Spain, Peru or basically anywhere there are small, clean waves.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach & Share:
Teach a few languages (dutch or english), some stuff about food (culture, ingredients, recipes), how to surf or do yoga, how to start a business that gives you lots of freedom and money.

Learn:
Learn more Spanish, how to surf better and how to deepen my meditation practice.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My travel stories, my love for food, the stuff I know about building a 'freedom' business.
