About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to enjoy life, to have fun while doing my thing and to be there for you.

ABOUT ME

Well, that's a very difficult question, I would like to know all about me. Some say I'm funny, some say I'm sweet, I say I am eager to learn and to experience. I like people, I like their company, I like to help them, but then I also like solitude once and a while.

PHILOSOPHY

Recently, I found a note from my 14 year old self. It said: The meaning of life is to be extatic. Pretty weird for a young teenager, but I think it is still accurate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a fan of this exciting way of traveling, it is nice to be part of a big international network of curious travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed a few times during travels. Mostly I have my Erasmus network, but I would like to extend that experience with other new and exciting encounters.
I can finally host people myself now, so I intend to do that.

Interests

I like people, literature, languages, singing, nights out, traveling, laughing, food, et la joie de vivre.

Music, Movies, and Books

The last movie that moved me was Mio fratello è figlio unico. Wonderful. Recently, I enjoyed The Hours, Casablanca, Juno, Frida, Edward Scissorhands, Breakfast at Tiffany's.

I love Norah Jones, Tom Waits, Ella Fitzgerald,Regina Spektor, Vampire Weekend, Daughter, and many many more. Try me.

I'm always complaining of how I don't read enough. I love my Dutch authors (Brouwers, Reve, Lanoye, Walschap, Boon, Polet) and some French ones (Duras, Flaubert, Zola, Hugo, Vigny, Musset). I'm reading Foer at the moment, and last summer I loved On the road by Kerouac.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I loved my time in France, where I was on an Erasmus exchange. The Jordanian desert was an amazing night, too.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you French, Dutch, English, complicated stuff about Belgian politics, and many more.
