Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
travelling and seeing more of the world, getting to know people and other cultures.
ABOUT ME
I Identify as a poet, student, queer-person who likes to see the world, dive in other cultures and meet new people. I have my own youtube channel (livingintheneverlands) I make video's about things that interest me and of which I think it could help other people.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm still trying to develop a solid life philosophy. Part of why I like couchsurfing is that there are so many people with so many philosophies. There is so much to learn!
So far I have learned from people on couchsurfing that:
You should live in a way that does the least harm to the world. - this is why I am vegetarian, and thinking about someday going vegan.
When you are open and honest to people, they tend to be open and honest to you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to couch surf and see the world, get to know people and their cultures. When I have more space I would really love to host people. Right now I don't have the space to host anyone.
Interests
I am interested in many things. The main thing I am interested in is people. I like hearing stories and observing.
I also love writing and performing my spokenword and poetry. I play a little guitar and like to sing as well.
I sometimes post those things on my youtube channel (livingintheneverlands)
I study pedagogy sciences (Pedagogische wetenschappen) where I learn everything about how children learn, are/were raised and the role of schools in our society.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: right now I am into poetical Dutch music like Eefje de Visser, Spinvis, Dameflux and Roosbeef. I also like Pop/rock of any time period. some punk is never wrong but I also enjoy German Rap and Deep house so yeah just a bit of everything.
Books: I love reading, too bad I don't have a lot of time for it and I read very slowly. my childhood favourite book is "The Kin" by Peter Dickinson. Of course I've read many since then. This one just seems to be stuck on #1
.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've done so far is walking up the mountain prsivec (Slovenia) with a stranger and camped on the top. Looked at the stars and laughed like an idiot because I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
I haven't lived for a long time yet so I'm hoping to do many more amazing things along the way of living.
I want to walk a lot, I've hiked from Namur to Dinant (Belgium, 30km).
I've hiked up mountain Prsivec (slovenia) and I have a list of more amazing walks I want to complete in my life;
GR571 in Belgium near the rivers Ourte, La Lienne and Ambleve.
(the route my parents were walking when they decided to name me Lienne)
from my home town to Santiago de Compostella
Cross the Pyrenees from east to west.
Teach, Learn, Share
I write poetry so if you ask nicely and I have my note book with me, I might perform a piece for you ;)
Ofcourse I can teach you some writing exercises if you want to learn how to write.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer you a mattress on the floor in the same room where I'm sleeping/living.
