About Me

CURRENT MISSION

live my dreams -- one being traveling the world!

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Los Angeles (my family moved from Israel when I was 6) and have travelled over 50+ countries.

I've been traveling for the last 8 years, slowing down to live in many countries. It went something like this: I was in South America for about 12 months, then took a cruise to Mallorca Spain, and ended up spending 3 years (spring/summer seasons) in Ibiza, leaving during winter seasons, also doing Europe, Russia, etc, for a while, lived in Tel Aviv 3 years, now thinking to go on to the Far East.

I used to work in engineering and media and am now trying to work a bit while I travel to make me the next overnight billionaire, haha..

LMK if you´d like to meet up for coffee or something first or how it works here if i´m in your town!

Cheers!

PHILOSOPHY

RISK more than others think is safe
DREAM more than others think is practical
EXPECT more than others think is possible
LOVE more than others think is wise

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm thinking to let my front-line sea-view penthouse apartment in Tel Aviv be couch surfed.

I´m open to host people when back in LA

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I´ve only met some people at hostels etc who have vouched for the site and stayed with one host in Europe just to try it out.

Interests

Besides travel, my interests are really varied. I love photography, playing music (eg guitar, singing), snowboarding, hiking, partying, dancing, reading, discussing academic type topics, and enjoying the beach and surf

Music, Movies, and Books

Really too many to name..

Music:
---
A lot of people say they like a lot of different stuff.. in my case it might be a bit different..

I studied music theory in uni for 1 year before I decide I was wasting my time because I'd be too adhd to do my chord voicing piano homework, and instead just jammed on that thing in the practice room :)

I play guitar and other instruments, and sing..

So I like folk music, jazz (mostly "cool" jazz.. eg, Miles Davis, Kind of Blue)..

I also like danceable music such as electronic.. everything from dub-step, break-beat, house, trance, etc..

I'm also into some classical music, but mostly only from the late romantic era, so like, Chopin, Rachmaninov.. Baroque is ok too.. but, except for a few pieces, I don't like the bouncy, light, annoying classical era classical too much.

I also love chill-out and other intriguing music from various cultures..

Movies:
---
I'm very easy to entertain and will watch just about anything.. but I enjoy artsy thought-provoking (even if slow) movies about life, more than explosions..

Though, I must admit I'm a sucker for stupid fantasy and visuals as well..

Some of those movies might be John de Florette, and the sequel, Manon of the Spring, Amadeus, Bladerunner, Sex and Lucia, and even Harry Potter, lol..

Books:
---
I read mostly modern classics written in the last 100 years.. I figure, if I'm going to spend the days it takes me to read at an enjoyable pace, then I better choose the time-tested best..

So books like: The Garden of Eden, And then, Siddhartha, Ham on Rye, Franny and Zooey, Ender's Game, 1984, Catcher In The Rye, Sirens of Titan, Slaughterhouse-Five, Neuromancer, etc..

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, Russian Federation, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Ukraine, United States
