ABOUT ME

I spend most of my time in the office. However, I try to find time to walk and pursue my passions - reading, listening to music and adventure travels. I also like to mountain hike and scuba dive. I like hanging out with my friends in the bookstores, cafes or bars - just as long as it has books and / or the music is good! Priorities have changed a bit though since I adopted my fur babies. I still have not curtailed my travels.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live.... if life offers you lemons, make lemonade. Trust in the Lord. There is a reason for everything even though I may not know it now....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am still relatively 'new' to Couchsurfing and I only have started hosting. A few bad experiences but I think it is caused by clashing personalities, miscommunication and conflicting expectations. I like hearing about the experience of other people and their culture. I think Couchsurfing is a good medium for this if I am not travelling...

Interests

You know by now... reading, listening to music, walking, mountain hiking and hanging out with my friends. I am willing to try anything - except bungee jumping! :p

Music, Movies, and Books

I have an eclectic taste. It might be easier to tell what I do not prefer. Music - rap, hard metal and, after an oversaturation in Fiji, reggae. Movies - horror and too much gore and violence (yuch!). Books - sci fi and fantasy although I read books by Michael Crichton, Isaac Asimov, JK Rowlings and JRR Tolkien.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have not travelled a lot so the most amazing thing I have seen so far would be the Grand Canyon. It is hard to believe that a thing of beauty can be dangerous.... Update: Too many to tell! I hiked a part of the Inca trail, Rainbow Mountain, a few other mountains in South America and the Perito Moreno Glacier! I trail hiked a potion of the Amazon, rode through the Amazon River and went piranha fishing! I was also able to scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef, paraglide in Rio de Janeiro and skydive in Fiji. There are still a lot more to do!! Ride a hot air balloon, visit the other historic and cultural sites of the world, experience the beauty of the aurora borealis and so much more!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am not a sage who can impart such wisdom. My philosophy and convictions are founded on my life experiences... and I believe there is a lot more life lessons to discover so my beliefs are not carved in stone. But I can be pretty stubborn and opinionated! All I can share are my stories... and the message it may impart.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am an easy going person. I would like to hear about your experiences and tell you about mine... if you want to. I have a bit of OCD so I will not mess up your place and will always keep my area neat and clean. I might try surfing in the future - probably for a day or two - but I prefer my privacy.
