About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make the most of this beautiful world.
ABOUT ME
My bread and butter is mostly character animation but I also do portraits and murals - my website is jennylewis-art.com
So whenever I travel, I like to do a portrait of my host to say thank you. I'll also sing for my supper, ha ha!
I am constantly hungry for new experiences, life-changing adventures and connecting with people, hence the travel bug.
I was born in the north of England but moved every 5 years, also living in France and California. Now I'm in London and it's so diverse that I feel totally at home.
My big dream is to find a band and busk around the world on the streets, meeting the people who approach us, never knowing where we will stay or where our next meal will come from.
PHILOSOPHY
"There is always a reason for everything!" Every question has an answer. Perhaps the explanation isn't anything deep or hugely significant, or it's so complicated that we can't grasp it, but the reason is always there and we are here to uncover it! I enjoy talking with people who are interested in dissecting life, feelings, behaviour and how the world goes around.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I wish that I could receive travellers in my home but I don't have anywhere suitable for guests to stay. However, I would love to meet up with anybody for a walk around London or to go out dancing! London is a huge city with so many things to do and you have to be in the right place at the right time. My advice is to walk around the lively areas and see spontaneously where things are happening that you like the look of, if you want to be prepared in advance, look for events on timeout.com/london...and whatever you do, don't travel during rush hour!!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed around the coast of Brazil, from Sao Luiz to Sao Paulo! It was a wonderful experience and the best moments were spent couchsurfing. I feel that I learned a lot about life and perspectives in Brazil this way.
I also couchsurfed in Split, Croatia with some amazing hosts with inspiration and energy beaming out of them - we talked and talked and talked all night long. After having stayed in hostels up until then, it just proves how much better couchsurfing is.
More recently, I couchsurfed in Bangkok, Chennai, Pondicherry and Istanbul. What fascinating and valuable insights I gained from the kind hosts who took me in about life and culture in those locations. Couchsurfing is by far the best way to travel!
Interests
I have a deep passion for adventures and new experiences. I believe that the best way to realise this is to travel alone, meeting locals and other travelers along the way. Let´s meet up, make some music and share some unforgettable memories.
Although I earn my living with visual art, my heart is in music. Whenever I travel, I seek live music by local bands with a real chemistry. If you can help me to find that on our travels, I will be eternally indebted.
