About Me

Hi everybody,

Thanks for clicking on my profile.

I'm an easy going, music crazy, sports loving 41 year who is addicted to nice scenery.

I certainly intend to host in the coming months when I'm in Dublin city more over the coming months and show visitors the amazing scenery just a short drive from Dublin as well as parts of Dublin itself. At the moment I spend most of my weekend time down the country in my hometown - which isn't very scenic!

I'm not married.
No children but I've got some great nephews and nieces.
I've been living in Dublin for the last 11 years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As well as the opportunity to visit some nice places and meet interesting people I know Dublin and the surrounding areas very well and as already stated I'm looking forward to showing people some really nice places that overseas visitors usually don't get to see.

Interests

Love music and sport(especially rugby union and Irish sports such as Gaelic football and hurling).
I play bass and sing in a band which is fun but I also can play, to a lesser degree!, drums and mandolin.
I enjoy going for nice walks in the hills and forests of Ireland as well as the beaches - yes we actually have some really nice beaches!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the police, U2, the red hot chilli peppers(older albums), the cranberries, thin lizzy, oasis and the beatles of course.
I've a huge interest in movies and go to the cinema quite a lot.
Favorite movies would be the shawshank redemption and forrest gump and Black Book(Dutch WW2 movie - check it out!)
Favorite book would probably be river god or the seventh scroll by Wilbur Smith.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A sky dive in New Zealand.

Teach, Learn, Share

Looking to share a bit of humour(a bit of crack as we call it in Ireland - nothing to do with crack cocaine!), fun, a comfortable house & the amazing city of Dublin.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Local knowledge of Dublin and surrounding areas.

Australia, Austria, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Thailand, United States, Wales
