ABOUT ME

Born to be free!

PHILOSOPHY

Live your life your way, don't care about what others think - it's your life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

During my trips, I've always used this amazing opportunity to stay at CS people places and therefore met many interesting, funny and nice people! That has inspired me to have a really cool guest room, when having my own flat someday!:)

I'm also kind of "walking advert" to CS - I suggest my friends to participate here for getting to know new people around the world and sharing culture and interests.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During my last trip around Germany, I spent all my nights at CS people places. That was an amazing experience that taught me to trust people. I also got to know many interesting people and had fun with them!

I spent time with CS people in Oktoberfest. That was amazing! Now I'm trying to get to the weekly CS meeting in Munich. I'll do that next week.

I am also very willing to host people from all around the world. Unfortunately, I'm not able to do that yet. But I have a daydream: I'll have an awesome guest room and the couchsurfers won't have to take their sleeping bags with them, they'll have a bed to sleep on and TV and computer in their room.:D

Interests

- I'm very interested in learning languages - I know Latvian, German, English and Russian and some French, Spanish and Danish. It's so much fun!

- travelling. My dream is to go to Japan and I will do it someday.

- getting to know other cultures. The world is full of so many interesting traditions that I have even no idea about!

- doing sports. Twice a day. Otherwise I feel like dead fish.

- reading books. My favourite of all times is "Gone with the Wind". Love that book and have read it many times. Even an empty room can become interesting if I have a book with me.

- theatre. Movies will never be able to show the emotions, actions and feelings like theatre does. It's like you were in it. All you see happens right now and there - no cut scenes like in the movies.;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into rock music mostly - Linkin park, Green day, Simple plan, Marylin Manson, Korn, Good Charlotte. I also like good, old time music - Queen, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, ABBA. And one of my favourite bands is Latvian "Brainstorm"!:)

Comedies are my favourite movies. Actually I like any kind of movies as long as they have a good plot and don't have stupid, cheap jokes.

As I already mentioned, my favourite book is "Gone with the Wind". One of my favourite writers is E.M.Remarque(esp., his books "All Quiet on the Western Front" and "Three Comrades"). I enjoy books about Japan and its culture, or novels, where the action takes place in Japan. I also really enjoy the books written by Dan Brown.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I do and see amazing things every day so I don't know what to begin with!:)

Teach, Learn, Share

www.howcast.com

Don't be afraid to take up something you don't have skills yet! They'll come with time! Just dare to try something new!

Alone and lonely are two totally different conditions. If you're travelling alone that doesn't mean you're lonely!:)

Life's not always about the money. Sometimes a good experience is much more valuable than a bunch of cash.
