À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

To be aware of all good moments Life has to offer us.

ABOUT ME

Life is good! I love experiencing moments of serendipity. There are so, so many wonderful places on the earth that can take your breath away. I collect these places in my memory, to be replayed many, many years from now when I'm in a rocking chair somewhere!

PHILOSOPHY

Paths cross for a reason. There is knowledge and philosophy that we may impart and share together. I want to spend my life making memories!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is such a new adventure for me. I'll update once I've experienced it.

Centres d'intérêt

I love music; recently into running; energy work like Reiki fascinates me. Travelling is huge; one day I would like to see the whales wintering over at the tip of South America. Seeing your part of the world and experiencing your neighbourhood like a local is so good for the eyes, and the soul.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I read constantly, everything from Elie Wiesel to science fiction/fantasy, as the mood strikes. Movies are for sheer entertainment; boo to blood, guts and violence! I love Baroque music the best, but joyfully listen to most anything. Jazz I can take in small doses, though I like the Blues.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

OK, more than one thing! I taught English songs at a summer school in China. When I turned 50, my friend Gary, a motorcycle cop-police-sergeant took me for a ride on his Honda Fire Blade. We were going 120 mph/ 190 kmph. It took me two tries to get off his bike, my knees were shaking so badly! I loved it! I collect 'water moments'. I've dipped myself in the South China Sea, the North Sea, the Black Sea, the Caribbean Sea, the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I live right on the edge of wine country in the Niagara Peninsula. Tender fruit orchards and vineyards are mere minutes away. Niagara Falls is just about a half hour from here, and Toronto is about a 45 minute drive away.
I'd like to practise my French. It's the best way for me to keep fresh for my students!
